We had a fantastic week in our cottage. It was very peaceful with beautiful surroundings. Our sons (ages 2, 5 & 8) absolutely loved the swimming pool every day and playing in the garden on the trampoline and swings. Our youngest also loved the horses! A great location for exploring Devon and Cornwall. Rachel and Neil were very welcoming and quick to respond to any enquiries. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect family retreat Exactly what we needed with plenty in the grounds and surrounds to entertain our three daughters (10, 8 and 6) – horses, swings, trampoline, walks, swimming pool, games. We felt comfortable, safe, free-to-roam and so warmly welcomed by Neil and Rachel.
We stayed in Pheasants Roost which had everything we needed for eating-in and cosy games/movie evenings. The log burner was delightful. The mezzanine family room means noise and light travels from the living area which may be tricky if wanting to get children to sleep in quiet while staying up downstairs. The background noise and low light wasn’t a major concern for our children, and we were in holiday mode so more relaxed on bedtimes.

Superb swimming pool, stunning garden with pond and swings, surrounded by acres of nature, very helpful hosts and remote for peace.We appreciated the cleanliness and functionality of the space. we loved the very wide bathtub and window views onto nature. Theres an rescue place behind cottages where my kids loved petting the animals. The pool space is very well done, nice size, clean, comfortable seatings, shower and room dividers to serve as changing cabin.to note: water felt very cold (in december), so we had to stay active to stay warm.i firgot my coat at the cottage and rebecca was happy to help return it to me via courier.overall neil and rebbeca invest their heartand soul into making this a grt experience for their guests.

We had a great stay. Neil is attentive and friendly host. The location is lovely and peaceful but you will likely need a car to get to the nearest village with a pub. The cottage is simple but clean and tidy. We’re a family of four (our boys are 8 and 11.) the cottage was just about big enough. If you’ve teenagers I think you’d find it too cramped. The pool is fantastic, the pool house is recently decorated and in great condition. We had the pool to ourselves so got a lot of use out of it!!

Firstly the cottage was everything we were looking for.Stunning views and peaceful surroundings with everything you could need for a comfortable stay.
We enjoyed the rural and private setting but also found it an ideal base to head out and explore the local attractions and beaches.The pool was fantastic and our children had alot of fun – what a bonus to have private use!

Lovely stay with the perfect hosts, communication beforehand was excellent with all of our questions answered and the kids especially loved the pool which was made full use of. Although the weather was not ideal during our short break the stay itself was very nice!

Myself and my family have stayed at Redhayes Holiday Cottages several times now and loved every second.
We have used this for accomodation whilst helping on Dartmoor for the Ten Tors event.

I have to say that Neil and Rachel are extreemely friendly, supportive, welcoming and cannot help enough.

I am not the best with technology but Rachel was on hand every step of the way. Nothing was too much trouble and i am extreemely grateful.
Last year we stayed in a smaller cottage that sleeps 4, but this year we stayed in a larger one that sleeps 7. The accomodation was spotlessly clean, bright, airy and welcoming.
I cannot fault either accomodation and would not hesitate to book again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We have a young baby so getting out can be tricky but it is such a beautiful spot that this didn’t matter as we were able to enjoy just being in the space- it is such a beautiful and peaceful garden, with some great views. You definitely get your moneys worth on the location, the use of the pool, the woodburner and friendly hosts! Also, everything is clean and well maintained- including the pool which was again great with the baby.

A Hidden Gem in Devon – Absolutely Perfect! We had the most incredible stay at Pheasants Roost – from the moment we arrived, it felt like a true home away from home. Nestled in such a peaceful and scenic part of Devon, the cottage itself is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and filled with thoughtful touches throughout.

The indoor pool was an absolute highlight – warm, well-maintained, and such a luxury to have all to ourselves! It really made the whole stay feel extra special, especially on the cooler days.

The kids and I are just back from a lovely few days, staying at the cottage. Neil the host was really friendly and helpful, and the cottage was clean, comfortable and set in beautiful surroundings, just what the kids and I needed for a relaxing weekend away. The extra bonus was the swimming pool, which felt like your own private pool and the pool house was also clean, decorated and furnished well, and not forgetting an old London phone box, which was transformed into a shower! After my husband unexpectedly had shoulder surgery scheduled mid stay, we found this was the perfect place for rest, relaxation and recovery – and didn’t actually leave after the surgery. We would like to come back to explore the local area a little more.

The kids (3 and 7) loved the pool, swings, trampoline, horses and ducks, as well as exploring the gardens. The pool was beautiful, a great temperature, very clean, and with nice comfy poolside seating.

Pheasants Roost The cottage was well equipped, clean and spacious. The added edition of the pool is a game changer and the owners allowed at least two hours a day swimming and had no problem in changing the time or giving extra if the pool was not pre-booked. The gardens including the lake are so attractive and gives so much to the lawned and wooded surroundings , made you want to sit and drink it all in.
Neil and Rachel are around and had no problem with a knock on their door if help needed.

A morning dip in the pool is a great way to start the day and the views are magical. It was the most perfect place to experience the Northern Lights as an added bonus. Would highly recommend Redhays cottages for an idyllic Devonshire holiday.

Could not fault our stay. The surroundings are beautiful, the accommodation is spot on, the swimming pool was great and the hosts were very accomodating. We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to return.

We had a wonderful weekend away from it all, so peaceful and beautiful we felt restored after our stay! So much for the kids to enjoy that we could relax! Amazing pool, trampoline, horses and a lovely brook to play in! Highly recommend staying here!

We’ve have had a wonderful few nights away at Redhayes farm cottage. Neil & Rachel were great hosts and as they live on site really helpful with recommendations and lovely to chat to. We (2 adults 3 children and our dog) all felt instantly at home and photos do not to do the surroundings justice, simply beautiful and idyllic, so peaceful we really felt even after just a couple of nights we had a nice reset and relax. Children loved the pool, which was spotless and a real treat. The cottage was also spotless with everything you could possibly need thought of. The pubs / restaurants recommended were great. Thank you for a wonderful break, we hope to be back in the future x

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at The Old Dairy Peaceful retreat, with the added bonus of an onsite swimming pool. The owners were very helpful during our stay with recommendations etc
Overall a lovely place to unwind and would happily go there again

Had a lovely long weekend at Neil and Rachel’s. The cottage is very clean and cosy, and heated pool is fab. The surroundings are beautiful and is a perfect countryside getaway!

Lovely peaceful relaxing stay and very accomodating hosts. Plus an indoor heated pool was a real bonus.

Had a fantastic weekend staying at Redhays cottages. The cottages are so lovely, with everything you need including log burners, comfy beds, lovely showers, great kitchens and living areas…we loved it. The cottages also come with an indoor pool!It is a beautiful countryside setting, but it wasn’t far to a local village for lunch and a walk and the owners were also really lovely and welcoming.I can’t recommend it highly enough 😊

A delightful set of cottages in a quiet area overlooking the pond in the grounds, with fields/hills in the background. The cottages have everything you need for your stay, well decorated, comfy beds with great hosts, and a small indoor pool and relaxation area..Would definitely recommend.

Pheasants Roost Fantastic location in a very peaceful part of Devon. Great hosts, Neil was there to welcome us with scones and very helpful throughout the whole stay. Facilities were great, kids loved the swing and pool. Property well stacked with everything we needed and more. Bed really comfy, will definitely be staying again. Thanks Neil and Rachel.

Oak Tree Cottage A wonderful week at Oak Tree Cottage. Met by the lovely and friendly hosts, Rachel and Neil. Presented with a great Devon cream tea on arrival. Really quiet and comfortable accommodation. Immaculately presented. Everything provided that you could think of or need. Lovely pool indoor with comfortable seating around. We would love to return and fully intend to. Would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway.
